Since its development in 2004, RingGo has led the pack in terms of innovation. The following are just a few of the technological "firsts" RingGo has achieved.
Industry firsts:
RingGo was the first phone parking provider to use tailored interactive voice recognition to intelligently collect, process and verify customer registration details.
RingGo was the first to gain Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard certification at level 1 (Sep 2008)
RingGo Resident Visitor Permits launched in Old Portsmouth in Sep 2009.
A world first in Oct 2009 as Carbon-Metered Parking (variable parking tariffs based on carbon dioxide emissions) was implemented across the London Borough of Richmond.
RingGo led the UK phone parking market in Jan 2010, introducing the first iPhone application for motorists to locate and pay for parking with RingGo.
RingGo dispensations launched in Richmond upon Thames in Sep 2010 enabling motorists to book dispensations electronically, rather than having to visit the Parking Shop.
Central Bedfordshire Council rolled out RingGo Advanced Digital Parking in April 2012, linking digital machines, cashless parking and a camera car to provide assisted ANPR enforcement.
RingGo Touchscreens launched in Camberley in Feb 2013 enabling the sports centre to offer free parking to leisure centre users while non-users had to pay.
March 2014 - RingGo launches mobile wallet extending its digital offering in place of cash.
